Job Responsibilities
- Providing legal support in procurement process (legal opinion, reviewing contract documents, legal and commercial risk identification, providing risk mitigation plan, participating in negotiation and dispute settlement meetings with vendors).
- Court Operations (Dealing case filing, hearing along with external legal counsels).
- Draft and review commercial and financing legal documents in compliance with laws, regulations and internal company policy documents.
- Providing legal support in commercial projects (legal opinion, reviewing contract/tender documents, legal and commercial risk identification, providing risk mitigation plan, participating in negotiation and dispute settlement meetings).
Additional Requirements
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- 4 year(s) working experience in legal affairs department of company and/or leading corporate law firm.
- Good knowledge in the areas of Code of Civil and Criminal Procedures, Penal Code, Labor Laws and Rules, Company Law, Contract Law, International Trade, intellectual property rights, Anti-money laundering (working knowledge on financing and tax laws and related Ordinances shall be considered as an asset).
- Good team spirit, able to work independently, able to deliver jobs within tight schedule, apt to work under pressure
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook etc.
- Enrolment with Bangladesh Bar Council as an advocate shall be regarded as a plus point.
Educational Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Legal background (LLB) from a reputed university having good academic track records.
